I am grateful to serve as the Pastor of Second Presbyterian Church in Lexington, Kentucky, having served here since January of 2019. Prior to my move to Kentucky, I served as the Pastor of Massanutten Presbyterian Church in Penn Laird, Virginia, and Brookhaven Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Nashville, Tennessee, and Manchester Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Manchester, Tennessee.
I began college as a Forestry major at Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. During “a squirrel count gone awry” in my sophomore year of college, I heard the call to pastoral ministry. I transferred to Bethel College in McKenzie, Tennessee, and graduated in 1986 as an English major.
Following college, I entered Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary, earning my Master of Divinity in 1990. I also completed the Master of Theology in Preaching and Worship from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1994. I earned an Executive Certificate in Religious Fundraising from the Lake Institute of Faith and Giving in 2013.
I am married and have three children. I enjoy hiking the trails of Shenandoah National Park, photography, and writing.
