Christ is risen! He is risen indeed! That powerful refrain still echoes in my heart as I move into these post-Easter days.
I am deeply grateful for the energy and passion which countless church members and the staff team with whom I serve poured into the preparations for the services. They moved chairs, baked bread, ladled soup, offered prayers, sent encouraging emails, rehearsed anthems, rang bells, and a host of other things that made our services come together in an incredible way.
The way I look at it, it was a great week: Strong attendance at all services, joyful music, fervent prayers, menial tasks done with joy, faithful witness to the resurrection–all taken, broken, blessed, and given for the glory of God. I am thankful for these Easter blessings that surround us.
